The survey results are in. Oranges were the favorite, then came bananas, followed by apples and grapes. We could have just left it at that but we made an interesting observation. Even though apples were not at the top of the list, we noticed that a good number of children ate many of our cut up apples. Or as Hendrix said, "It's confusing because you don't know if they like apples."
Then, thanks to Johanna, we discovered that more apples were being thrown away since we "misplaced" the apple cutters and children were not getting help cutting the apples. Aha! Or as Hugo explained, "The peels don't taste like anything. Children want the sweet, juicy part." Over twenty heads nodded in agreement.
